SonoSite SII Features The SonoSite SII is the second-generation point-of-care ultrasound in the SonoSite S-Series of portable ultrasound machines. The SonoSite SII design departs slightly from the previous S-Series ultrasound machines by its size and user controls. It is about 3 inches taller than the original S-Series and 2 inches thinner. It adds 4 pounds of weight (12.6 lbs) and has more intuitive controls. The SII is completely flat-panel and has an overall different look and feel than the original S-Series ultrasounds. Imaging modes include 2D, M-Mode, tissue harmonics, velocity color Doppler, color Power Doppler and it includes SonoSite’s advanced image processing technologies such as SonoADAPT, SonoHD2, can colorHD. As with the original S-Series, the SII can be mounted as a zero-footprint machine with mounting hardware. Intuitive, adaptive touchscreen interface with a clinician-driven menu DirectClear Technology provides better imaging with increased penetration and contrast Switch quickly between exam types with embedded dual transducer connector Keep crowded areas clearer with small ultrasound footprint and redesigned stand with extra storage SonoSite SII Specifications Touch Screen Touchscreen menu automatically adapts to your needs Virtual track pad displays only when needed Controls Tactile knobs for gain and depth control Flexible control of caliper, zoom, and color box through virtual track pad or touchscreen DirectClear Technology Is a novel, patent-pending process that elevates transducer performance: HDMI output to external display Composite video output (NTSC/PAL) to VCR or video Connectivity Ethernet or wireless image/data transfer 3 USB ports Speakers Yes - integrated Exam Type Abdominal, Breast, Cardiology, OB/Gyn, Lung, musculoskeletal, Neonatal, Nerve, Ophthalmic, Small Parts, Spine, Superficial, Arterial, Ve nous Boot-Up Time 20 seconds Ease-of-Use Use the SII’s exam presets to scan exactly how you prefer right away. Simplified controls and an intuitive user interface give you just w hat you need, without an overly complicated setup. Reliability You get the images you need, when and where you need them. The technology does what you want it to, when you want it to. Our machines are built to perform. Clarity of Utrasound Image When your trauma bay is packed with medical personnel, it can b e difficult to monitor everything. When space is at a premium, the SonoSite SII offers a stunningly clear picture. With its high visibility, non-reflec tive screen, and wide viewing angle, the Sll displays patient scans clearly from across the room. New Patented Transducer Technology DirectClear Technology, available on the rP19x and rC60xi transducers, is a novel, patent-pending process that elevates transducer performance with improved penetration and contrast resolution. A unique combination of matching and de-matching layers surrounding the transducer’s crystal send more of the ultrasound signal into the body, producing an image that is clear and distinct. Simplified Ultrasound Controls, Interface, and Presets When it’s your job to administer a nerve block, assess internal bleeding, or perform a thoracentesis, you need technology that works right along with you. That’s why the SII has an intuitive user interface, familiar tactile controls, and dual transducer connectors. When time is of the essence, the SII is ready to perform the right exam at the right time with minimal set-up.
