Philips Heartstart FR2+ Features The HeartStart FR2+ Defibrillator (“FR2+”) is a compact, lightweight, portable, and battery powered automated external defibrillator designed for use by a trained responder to treat ventricular fibrillation (VF), the most common cause of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). The FR2+ has a Status Indicator that is always active, so you can tell at a glance if it has passed its last self-test. The front panel of the FR2+ has an On/Off button at the top and a Shock button at the bottom. A display screen in the center of the panel provides text prompts and incident information.
