Explanation about Au Nanorod Array Substrate for SERS The Au nanorod arrays which NIDEK developed are produced by dynamic oblique evaporation to achieve the high reproducibility without using high-cost processes such as the etching or lithography. The produced surface is prolate nanoparticle configuration with strong anisotropism, and by the plasma resonant effect on the Au prolate nanoparticle, raman scattering intensity of absorbed particles are enhanced. SERS measurement by Raman scattering and Au Nanorod Arrays Surface conformation suitable for SERS The image by SEM of SiO2 model layers which are produced by continuous oblique evaporation from two directions and the evaporating directions of each coating material are shown above. Data provision : Kyoto University Graduate School, Professeor : Suzuki Motofumi Features Enhance identification power of materials with feeble raman scattering spectrum and hard identification. The water solution and organic solution which are dropped can be measured.
